Guide to Sizing Your Finger for Rings
Share
Why Proper Ring Sizing Matters
A ring that fits just right feels comfortable and secure—tight enough not to slip off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle without resistance. Choosing the right size ensures both comfort and long-term wearability.
What You'll Need
- A flexible measuring tape or strip of paper
- A ruler (if using paper)
- Optional: a ring sizing chart or printable ring sizer
How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
- Wrap a strip of paper or measuring tape around the base of your finger where the ring will sit.
- Mark the point where the paper overlaps or where the tape meets the zero mark.
- If using paper, lay it flat and measure the length with a ruler in millimeters (mm).
- Compare your measurement to a ring size chart to find your size.

Pro Tips
- Measure your finger at the end of the day, when it's at its largest.
- Cold weather can shrink fingers slightly; avoid measuring when cold.
- If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.
- Wide bands fit tighter — consider sizing up 1/4 to 1/2 size for thicker rings.
